Soft play 2 you corner set!

We haven’t used this set much I will get in to why in this blog post.

Soft play 2 you is a soft play company that makes there own commercial soft play equipment to order making it cheaper then buying from bigger brands.

This is there four part corner set. When I ordered this is I did not realise they had changed thee fabric and where only using a fabric nylon and Velcro underside. They used to use a p.v.c just like any other  soft play product you find on the market so I was surprised when we received these.

I did get in contact with them and they did partly refund me. But the fabric just dose not cut it for special needs children. They are to hyper heavy handed and make a lot of mess well Edwin dose!

So that’s why we have never really used our set that and the Velcro on the bottom would open up when you dropped the shapes on the floo and Edwin seen the foam inside as a snack.

but I’m happy to say the company have seen this error and now offer the p.v.c covered ones again.

Also cleaning and maintenance of soft play is everyday, this means general cleaning by wiping down the surfaces and removing dirt and dust to keep hygienic.

P.v.c is wipe clean and harder eating then this fabric coating our ones have. So would be perfect for special needs children as apossed to the fabric. For some reason the p.v.c is cheaper then the fabric nylon set?

if you wan to buy this set in the p.v.c you can find it here.

this was the fourth time we brought from them and this is the only time we have not liked what we have received from them. The fabric was just not worth paying for and not hard waiting enough for us to use.

The p.v.c set is £84 witch is a very good deal for soft play corner set like this.

They company do not take returns so would keep that in mind befroemyou order and it takes two weeks to make and shipmyour items so that’s also somthing to think about.

All in all I like this company and I would buy from them again if we seen somthing we really liked as many of you know we have to much soft play already! I would recommend them but I woudl not recommended the fabric sets for special needs children I just find it pretty usless as it’s hard to clean and soaks up dirt and smells paired with the Velcro witch was unsafe.

New plastic balls!

These are our new ball pool balls.

Our balls before this where the cheaper kind and we started to have problems of them going flat just just out right bursting.

Just before Christmas I decided we needed to replace our balls due to the cheaper Asda/Argos style ones being so sold they had become unsafe.

Edwin tends to jump off the back of the room. He climbs up on the soft play shapes and jumps in either head or feet frist. This is what was making the balls burst and once they had burst they had very sharp edges. This was very dangerous and had to be sorted out.

The balls cost £75.

I wanted the proper soft play style ball pool balls and was quoted £100 for 500 from soft play creation station but found 500 for £75 and decided to go with that. This was a mistake as these balls are not the ones I wanted!

These are smaller and softer and are likely to have the same problems as the ones I trow away in a year or two. But since they where better then what we had we kept them.

I still intend to buy the soft play balls but I’m going to wait a while and see how these hold up first so I don’t end up wasting £75.

i would suggest going with trusted retailer or seller over a cheaper price quality is always worth paying for and I’ve learnt my lesson here!

Sensory corner!

This is Edwin main sensory corner.

We have done reviews on all our rompa sensory equipment witch you will find in the reviews section of the website.

But this photo is s our rompa maxi bubble tube and bubble tube plinth.

we also have the rompa fiber optics in two sets.

You need a light source for the fiber topics witch is sold on its own then you need to buy the strands or tails someone call them harnesses.we have two single light sources but rompa now do a double light source.

for our fiber optics tails we have one set of  two meter One hundred strands side glow fiber optics strands. Plus the uv one meter bamboo strands. We use these in the bubble tube plinth. Hole on the plinth is called a mouse hole this is made for fiber optics to be placed in hiding the light source and wires

the star shaped mirror are from b and m.

The round box is the rompa wi if switch box more on that in the review section.

We also be a fiber optics carpet wall panel at the back but this was custom made but you can find they pop up somtimes in special needs Facebook groups for sale second hand.
